Short Summary:

On Monday, April 7, 2003, I had an appointment at the tax office. Since I had to be there by 10:00 a.m., I left the house ten minutes before 9:00 a.m. Unfortunately, I don't own a car, so I walked. When I took a cigarette break just past Bedburdyk, in the direction of Grevenbroich, I spotted this strange round object, which I initially thought was a balloon. However, since a balloon is usually pear-shaped, and a toy balloon is typically colorful, it immediately occurred to me that this object couldn't be a balloon. The sky was also too still for a toy balloon, despite the light wind. Even with a breeze of that strength, a toy balloon would have been wobbling, but this object was simply standing still. I could, however, detect slight, linear movements. But these were also too linear for a balloon. The object hovered slightly forward and back, as if on a fixed path (track). Unfortunately, I can't say how it disappeared, as I continued walking after my cigarette. Only after I had walked about a kilometer further did I notice a kind of whirring sound. I don't know if this had anything to do with the UFO. When I went home an hour or two later, the object was gone.
