Short Summary:
| On August 20, 2001, I wanted to take a picture of the full moon, around 11:00 PM. It was still very warm, 21.5°C according to the outdoor thermometer. My camera was mounted on a tripod, pointed towards the moon. It was a Canon T70 with a Canon FP 70-210mm f/4 lens. Since my eyes need to adjust to the darkness, I usually spend 0.5 to 0.75 hours in darkness before each shot. To my left, at the 11 o'clock position, I noticed a very bright point of light, larger than a star and brighter, which remained there for about 15 minutes, then disappeared rapidly to the left. I took a picture at that moment, which is attached at ISO 400. |
