Short Summary:

Eyewitness account: During an evening walk with my dog, I observed the following: From my path, I had a good view of the town of Eberswalde, and I noticed a very bright star in the sky directly above the town, below a band of dark clouds. There were no stars visible anywhere in the vicinity, so I assumed it might be the air traffic control system of a huge construction crane, of which there are currently several in the town. Its dazzling light was striking—whitish, perhaps with a slightly light yellow tint. I estimated its diameter to be about 10-12 meters, with six rays and a slight shimmer, although I assume the center was the brightest. The object was completely stationary. After about two minutes, it began to move imperceptibly, but after a few seconds, it moved more and more rapidly along a perfectly straight path without any sound. After a few meters, the phenomenon disappeared, as if it had switched off its lights.
